Experience the Beauty of Japanese Traditional Music

Direct from Japan, a special performance by the Headmistress and Vice Head of Seiha Music School (Seiha Hōgaku-kai), a 113-year-old music school of Japanese traditional instruments.  Together with members of Seiha Japan and Seiha USA from the Bay Area and Nationwide, experience the unique sound of traditional and contemporary sounds of koto, sangen (shamisen) and kokyu (Japanese bowed instrument).

The program includes Godan Ginuta, Hiyaku, Ballad, Yugao, Raden, and Yuki Ningyō, offering a variety of perspectives through which to enjoy the distinctive beauty of Japanese koto music.
