JACL Mural Project - Mural Elements

The San Francisco chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League is proud to announce a proposal for an historic mural in San Francisco's Japantown. Partnering with Mission Art 415, Inc. the chapter and its partner proposes to paint a mural materpiece on the high-traffic exterior wall space facing Geary Boulevard, in fron of the historic Japantown Peace Plaza. The impetus for ths historic mural is the preservation of the storied history of a community's resilience, and the people behind it.

The SF JACL is accepting nominations of notable Japanese Americans until midnight, December 31. Nominations can be submitted at this Google Form or via email to info@sfjacl.org.

Rosalyn Tonai and Kenji Taguma are members of the Advisory Board who will convene to select the notables.
